“We hired Sage for day of coordination for our wedding in Mount Vernon.

In the months leading up to the wedding, Katelynn offered a ton of support and guidance as I worked my way through the various stages of the planning process.[...] Notably, Sage has a questionnaire that they have you fill out two months before the wedding that helps you think about all the details you didn’t even realize that you needed to think about. This was incredibly helpful!

On the day of the wedding, Katelynn and Paityn did literally everything. They were there at 9:00 on the dot and didn’t leave until the venue was spotless. They set up all of my decorations (don’t even get me started on how perfectly they set up the tables), flipped the room from ceremony to reception, and cleared all of the tables of dishes and garbage. [...] I was so relaxed and was able to enjoy my day without worrying about anything.

I am so grateful I found Sage Event Co!”

CLIENT testimonial

Jordyn and Anthony had a vision for a bright, light, airy wedding with tons of eye-catching color and small, precious details. They brought us on board for day-of event coordination to ensure that everything stayed true to their vision, and everyone had an amazing time.

THE PROJECT

  • The colors and aesthetic that Jordyn & Anthony chose
  • The floral perfection
  • Their kind and thoughtful guests

OUR FAVORITE PARTS

The couple lives out of state, but when they saw the local Christianson Nursery venue online, they fell in love. Since they aren’t familiar with the Mount Vernon area, we made sure that they were connected with all of the vendors that they would need. Additionally, we coordinated with their vendors to keep their wedding on track and on time and built their day-of timeline around the venue guidelines.

Because they’re from out of state, all of Jordyn & Anthony’s guests were from out of town. Which adds the challenge of making sure that everyone is comfortable, and able to get to and from the venue. Despite a few late shuttles due to unexpected traffic, we were able to keep everything on time and all guests happy.

“Megan did such an amazing job with our wedding! My husband and I are based in Chicago so planning a wedding in Washington was a challenge. She made the planning process fun! Megan helped make sure our day was a success and we are so grateful!”

CLIENT testimonial

An outdoor wedding has an added layer of unpredictability, but we couldn’t picture Liz and Brian’s 70’s-inspired wedding happening anywhere but Leavenworth. We mixed the couple’s laidback retro style with the Bavarian history of Leavenworth by pairing colorful wildflowers and fresh local fruit with vintage postcards, signs, and other knick-knacks. The event itself was a colorful blast with plenty to do including lawn games, an ice cream stand, and pizza!

THE PROJECT

  • The couple’s ability to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere
  • The fun and unique decor
  • The relaxing, laid back approach to their wedding day

OUR FAVORITE PARTS

Liz and Brian are based in Chicago, we are based in Mount Vernon, and all of their vendors were based in Seattle. All we can say is thank goodness for Zoom meetings! During our initial planning meeting, we discussed their priorities and vision for their wedding day, which the Sage Event Co. team turned into a design blueprint and personalized vendor list to guide us throughout the entire planning process. We then made a game plan for booking vendors, sourcing decor and floral, and determining the logistics.

Leavenworth’s natural beauty and charming alpine vibes make it the perfect backdrop for a 70s-inspired wedding with a modern twist. To bring this groovy theme to life, consider incorporating disco balls into your décor for a touch of sparkle and nostalgia. Hang them from trees or include mini disco balls on your tablescapes for a whimsical yet cohesive look. Lean into retro color palettes like warm oranges, mustard yellows, and earthy tones that complement Leavenworth’s stunning outdoor scenery. For a truly unique touch, pair vintage-inspired elements like macramé backdrops or velvet lounge seating with the cozy ambiance of this mountain town. Whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a lively celebration, remember that small details like funky signage, layered textures, and creative lighting can tie the theme together beautifully. Above all, embrace Leavenworth’s charm and let the town’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere shine through every part of your wedding day!

Style Tips for a groovy Leavenworth Wedding

Rea and Shawn had a perfect wedding, built entirely around them. The couple held a formal ceremony at their church and then partied the night away in Pioneer Square. The vibes were modern and industrial with a touch of romance, which fit perfectly with their venue’s exposed brick walls and steel beams. Instead of signature cocktails, the couple had signature coffees for their guests to enjoy.

THE PROJECT

  • Right from the start, we felt like Rea and Shawn were our friends. We were so sad when they’re wedding was over because we wouldn’t get to talk to them all the time anymore.
  • We loved that they didn’t feel the pressure to provide a bar at their wedding knowing that it didn’t feel right to them. The added personal touch of the coffee cart made their big day feel so much more like “them.”

OUR FAVORITE PARTS

We worked on Rea and Shawn’s wedding for just under a year. Almost immediately, we were drawn to the industrial vibe of their venue, AXIS, but knew that we wanted to soften it with touches like vintage furniture, gold accents, and neutral florals with pops of soft pink. The venue itself is rather dark, so we added string lights across the dining space and used lighter colors in the decor like white, dusty blue, and pinks. Since most of their guests don’t drink, Rea and Shawn opted for a dry wedding with the personal touch of a coffee cart in lieu of alcohol.

Rae and Shawn’s wedding showcased everything that makes a Seattle celebration so magical. From the moody elegance of the Pacific Northwest to the urban charm of the city, their day was a perfect reflection of Seattle’s unique wedding style.
Hosting a wedding in Seattle means embracing the natural beauty of the region—think dramatic skies, lush greenery, and waterfront views—and pairing it with the city’s modern edge. Rae and Shawn incorporated rich florals, candlelit tablescapes, and meaningful details that blended romance with the chic, urban vibe Seattle is known for.

Whether you’re drawn to the iconic skyline, cozy indoor-outdoor venues, or the creative energy of the city, a Seattle wedding offers endless possibilities for a day that feels uniquely yours.

What Makes a Seattle Wedding Unforgettable

We’ll say it: traditional bridal shows are… boring. Big Fake Wedding puts a fun, innovative, and exciting spin on the stale show model. Instead of walking from vendor table to vendor table and attending a few panels, Big Fake Wedding puts on (you guessed it) a BIG FAKE WEDDING. Complete with a theme, an actual married couple, and a dance party reception.

Participating in The Big Fake Wedding was an exhilarating experience for our team at Sage Event Co. This innovative bridal show alternative allowed us to showcase our planning and design expertise in a live, immersive setting. We crafted a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that captivated attendees, highlighting our commitment to creativity and attention to detail. Collaborating with talented vendors and connecting with enthusiastic couples reinforced our passion for creating unforgettable events. The Big Fake Wedding not only provided a platform to display our skills but also inspired us to continue pushing the boundaries of wedding planning and design.

THE PROJECT

  • Meeting all of the amazing vendors! We made some of our best connections to date at Big Fake Wedding.
  • Getting to know the Big Fake Wedding team.
  • Creating a tablescape with a theme that we’ve never worked with before. We always love a creative challenge

OUR FAVORITE PARTS

As the day-of coordinators for the “Cigarette Daydreams” themed Big Fake Wedding, we created the schedule for the day and coordinated the rehearsal, getting our couple down the aisle, and the ribbon wand send off. We also designed two full tablescapes.
